John Byrne is our resident Chiropodist, specializing in all of your foot care needs. John covers all aspects of Podiatry/Chiropody, such as General Chiropody, Verruca treatment, Ingrowing Toenails and Nail Surgery to remove persistent problems. CHIROPODY AND PODIATRY – Our beloved famous footballer come foot doctor ! My name is John Byrne. In my previous life I was a Professional Footballer from 1977-1995. I played for York City, Queens Park Ranger, Le Havre, Brighton and Hove Albion, Sunderland, Millwall, Oxford United and played 23 times for the Republic of Ireland. When I retired I embarked on a degree in Podiatry graduating in 2000 with a 2:1 Honours Degree. I have worked since then in the NHS gaining experience in all aspects of Podiatry. I now split my time between NHS work and private work at the Shadi Danin Clinic. I cover all aspects of Podiatry/ Chiropody, such as General Chiropody, Verruca treatment, Ingrowing Toenails and Nail Surgery to remove persistent problems. I also specialise in bio-mechanical assessments and the prescription of custom made Orthotics for the treatment of Muscular Skeletal problems such as Heel Pain, Knee Pain, Back Pain. I work one day a week at Brighton University as a Clinical Lecturer in Podiatry, aiding students in the practical aspect of Podiatry.
