Laser Moles & Skin Tags Removal Treatment in Brighton and Hove
Laser Mole & Skin Tags Removal for all skin types including Asian and Black, suitable for both men and women
- Have you always wanted that mole removed for cosmetic reasons?
- Is your mole being caught every time you zip up your dress or your trousers?
- Has your doctor told you that your mole is benign but there is no longer an NHS service offering mole removal?
What Happens Now?
These are the top three reasons to come to Medi Spa Brighton & Hove. After a thorough consultation, our highly skilled practitioners can carefully remove your mole with our state of the art DEKA Laser Replay. This Deka Laser Replay will only treat the targeted area and will therefore leave the surrounding skin untouched. This particular way of eliminating your mole will leave a flawless, unpigmented and flat surface to your skin. The laser is absorbed by the water in your skin cells. This absorption causes instantaneous vapourisation of your mole removingit layer by layer, enabling our practitioner to offer precise and controlled removal of your mole. It is important to note that sometimes the pigmented part of the mole is a little deeper than the surface of the skin. This can be removed although it will involve causing a tiny hole which will start to heal once treatment has finished. It may just take a little longer to heal as the laser has had to penetrate slightly deeper.
This procedure is most definitely the answer if you’re looking to remove your mole or moles with minimal discomfort, very little downtime and no surgical wound which in turn reduces the chance of scarring. It is a quick procedure but it will depend on how large the mole is and how many moles you would like to have removed. Our practitioner at Medi Spa Brighton & Hove will be happy to discuss the length of the appointment with you and, of course, answer any questions you may have at your consultation.
After The Procedure
The remaining area will be a small open wound. The following day it will be important to allow the air to dry the wound to ensure a scab will form, protecting the area at all times. It is vital that the scab is left to come away from the skin naturally and without help. The skin is then ready to be exposed. This process can take up to 2 weeks, depending on the individual. All that will remain is a very small red or brown spot which will slowly return to the normal colour of your skin. This can take up to 3 months or in some cases, a little longer. As this is such a precise treatment, it is sometimes necessary to repeat the treatment. We, at Medi Spa Brighton & Hove, will see you for check-ups until you and we are completely satisfied your expectations have been fulfilled.

MOLES AND SKIN TAGS
Moles are small coloured spots on the skin made up of cells called melanocytes, which produce the colour (pigment) in your skin.
The scientific name for moles is melanocytic naevi.
Moles are often a brownish colour, although some may be darker or skin-coloured. They can be flat or raised, smooth or rough, and some have hair growing from them. Moles are usually circular or oval with a smooth edge.
Moles can change in number and appearance. Some fade away over time, often without you realising.
Skin tags (acrochordons) are small flesh-coloured or brown growths that hang off the skin and look a bit like warts. They’re very common and harmless.
Skin tags can vary in size from a few millimetres up to 5cm wide.
They are usually found on the neck, armpits, around the groin, or under the breasts. They can also grow on the eyelids or under the folds of the buttocks.

Best treatment I ever had, I had several moles on my cheek and chin removed in one session.
The dual yellow laser treatment uses a copper halide tube technology, which provides the characteristic healing light. The dual yellow laser treatment differs from other laser treatments by producing two wavelengths of light rather than one – both green and yellow.
Each wavelength targets a different skin problem. The hemoglobin pigment in the red blood cells responds very well to the yellow wavelength of light. The pigment absorbs it much better than the melanin in the skin does, making the yellow wavelength excellent for treating blood vessels. The green wavelength used in the dual yellow laser treatment targets the melanin– the pigment which gives colour to the skin. This makes the green beam much more effective for treating pigmented legions. When combined, the two wavelengths create a powerful beam for ablating or vaporising lesions. The combination of the two wavelengths of light is also excellent for the treatment of acne.
For most Moles/Skin Tags, only one treatment is necessary.
